Which is the best form of communication? I always think the best and most personal form of communication happens face to face in real life. But if that can't happen, due to covid or other barriers, digital forums provide that space. Based of my experience, I personally believe a more inclusive and dynamic conversation can occur when it's a threaded discussion. During a threaded discussion, is that reflection can occur. The major negative of a live chat discussion virtually is that it leaves little room for reflection and certain members can overtake the entire conversation. Hence, why a threaded discussion is the most beneficial as a communication medium online. This format leads to more insightful discussions and allows for students to directly remark on their peers' posts. The major limitation with email is that messages fall into a messy format, especially if you have multiple opinions being voiced.
